Get Involved

As a small not-for-profit charity, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Rescue (Qld) Inc. relies on the selfless contributions of volunteers. We often find that we are calling on the same core group of volunteers time and again, so we are always grateful to accept new volunteers who feel they would like to contribute their time and skills to the association.

There are various ways you can become involved.

Become a Friend of CKCSRQ

A Friend is a general supporter of the organisation who may from time to time offer their help at various functions, who just attends sometimes when time permits or who supports the association with a donation.

Become a Volunteer

A volunteer must complete the Volunteer Form in order to participate. Completion of the form assures your coverage by our Volunteers Insurance policy. You may volunteer for different things such as administrative support or help at our various functions. Foster Carers and Transporters are other volunteers who are automatically included under the insurance coverage.

Become a Transporter

A Transporter is someone who from time to time is able to transport our Cavalier. This includes at the surrender point to a foster home or from foster home to adopter, or to veterinary or other appointments. You need proof of a current drivers’ licence and preferably a crate. If you don’t have a crate, we will try to help out with the loan of one. This is important when dogs are being surrendered as it is a very stressful time for them and it is better that they are gently restrained.
