Megs

Megs is a mature aged lady of over 10 years old, and has been in long term foster care after spending much of her younger life in a breeding facility.
Megs spent a good chunk of time with one of our long-serving foster carers, where she was able to settle into the routines and daily happenings of living in a home environment, and start to unravel the confines of fear and anxiety. She quickly appointed herself the chief alert dog and would notify the neighbourhood whenever someone would come to her door. Though she experienced less than ideal early years, has suffered chronic ear infections and has a high-grade heart murmur, there is still a super sweet and affectionate spirit deep within this little lady.

Late in 2020, another of our experienced foster carers took over Megs’ care. She settled easily into her new home and took over the matriarchal duties for young Jasper (also featured in this calendar), as well as taking on the role of timekeeper - mysteriously appearing in the middle of the kitchen whenever it was close to the AM or PM meal time. Though she still has a way to go, Megs now enjoys short walks around the local area and can be found wherever the treats are!
